We’ll be the first to admit—this is more of a small reduction than a full-blown production sale. If you know us, you know the big man isn’t exactly a fan of selling bred ewes, so the only way this was going to happen was to offer them open. And if you really know how things work around here, you know who the real boss is—and when she speaks, we listen. She said we’ve got too many ewes. (She’s not wrong.)

So we pulled 9. And the truth is, if a ewe is still here at Knittel Livestock, she’s here for a reason. These aren’t spring chickens, but they’ve each proven they still have value. Every one of them raised a lamb or two last year and came through with sound udders. No way we were backing them up to the sale barn—these ewes have more to give, and we’re offering them to you.

We’re also offering the option to AI any of these ewes to one of our sires for an additional cost—full details are available in the special terms.
