Darlington Downs Registered Southdown Online Sale - WI

We welcome you to our annual online sale, and are happy to have you view this offering of Darlington ‘Downs genetics. We are extremely pleased with our offering and believe this sale offers opportunities for all Southdown breeders and show families. All of the ewes are nominated for the ASBA Futurity Program. If you are not sure what that is, please visit the ASBA website or reach out to us; we will be happy to help you.

In terms of DNA testing, all ewes are listed as QR+ and clean. We do not individually test all ewe lambs, but we have only used RR clean rams for the past several years. We list QR+, but expect most or all to test RR.

Please reach out with any questions about these sheep, or if you have the opportunity, come check them out in person. Visitors are always welcome, and we love talking sheep and showing you what we have to offer. We are grateful to everyone who has trusted our genetics over the years.

The whole offering on this sale is out of Darlington Downs “Drift Away”. We need to get this guy pictured and officially introduced, but he has quietly made a huge impact on our flock. He is sired by our Beckmier “Uncle Cracker” buck that we lost after one season. He was as closely related to “Cousin Eddy” as he could be without being a twin brother. The first group of yearlings we grew out is pretty sweet. These will grow and have good frame size, but they still have the right wedge shape, and we love the hips and hind legs stamped into them.
