Welcome- Welcome to the High Desert Elite Online Steer & Heifer Sale!
We are very proud to offer 6 steers and 7 heifers in this set, and we believe in these cattle 100% and are excited about their future. Thank you for taking the time to look through our offering. We’ve done our best to accurately describe each calf, but we welcome any and all questions—I’m always willing to talk cattle!
We also encourage you to come see the cattle in person. They are located here in Culver, Oregon, and you’re welcome to stop by anytime from now through sale day. Especially when it comes to the steers, we believe finding the right maturity and endpoint for your individual goals is important, so don’t hesitate to visit or give us a call.
We are grateful for our past customers and supporters who have been part of this journey, and we hope you’ll join us for the 2026–2027 show season. We pride ourselves on customer service and are always happy to help with clipping, fitting, or anything else you may need along the way. Health and Nutrition- All cattle are fully vaccinated. All on Umbarger Show Feed.
Retained Flushes/Embryo Interest:
JWR Cattle retains the right to DNA and two successful flushes, obtaining a minimum of six transferable embryos or one successful pregnancy at the seller’s cost and buyer’s convenience on all lots 1,4 and 8. Shilo Slitz retains the right to DNA and two successful flushes, obtaining a minimum of six transferable embryos or one successful pregnancy at the seller’s cost and buyer’s convenience on all lots 9 and 12.
Feeding and Showing:
Please know we will assist you as much as we can in preparation, including feeding advice, clipping before and/or at shows, and fitting at shows. However, buying a calf does not guarantee that there will be someone to fit or clip it at every show the animal attends.
DELIVERY :Please plan to pick-up cattle within two weeks of the sale. After two weeks, there will be a $8/day charge for feed. Other arrangements can be made if discussed prior to purchase. Please give us a call with any questions. John Ramsey (208)761-3944
